Elections for the ISBT Board of Directors 2024
Call for nominations
Would you like to be involved in the governance of ISBT? The 2024 elections for the Board of Directors could be your opportunity!
The ISBT Board of Directors is entrusted with the management of the Society including strategy, policy and objectives and ensures that the Society acts in accordance with the Statutes and resolutions adopted by the General Assembly. The Board of Directors meets face-to-face at least once a year at the ISBT International or Regional Congress in June, with additional meetings online throughout the year as required. The Board works closely with the staff at the ISBT Central office.
Nominations are open for the following positions on the ISBT Board of Directors 2024, with the elected candidates joining the Board following the ISBT General Assembly on June 26, 2024.
- President Elect
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Regional Director Africa
- Regional Director South-East Asia
- Regional Director Western Pacific*
- Regional Director Europe*
* Nominations cannot be accepted for members resident in Denmark or Japan because there is already a Regional Director from each of these countries on the Board. Article 13.3 (f) does not permit two Regional Directors from the same country.
Nominees (candidates)
Members wishing to stand in the election must be Individual members of the Society and accepted members of ISBT on Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 17.00 Central European Time. Candidates for the Board must complete the nominee form and must be nominated by two individual members of the Society.
Nominators
Individual, Honorary or the designated representative of Affiliate members who are accepted members of ISBT on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 17.00 Central European Time may act as nominators. Before proceeding, nominators should communicate with the proposed candidate and check out the call for nominations procedure. The nomination process will be online only, and full details can be found on the Elections 2024 page of the ISBT website. (link)
The official deadline for receipt of nominations is Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 23.59 Central European Time.
