Awards ceremony
Ordinary people, with their little sparks, ignite hope; Life takes precedence, and love knows no bounds. The "Shining Red" National Outstanding Deeds Speech Conference of Unpaid Blood Donors stands as a flagship event meticulously curated by the Chinese Society of Blood Transfusion. Following the success of the previous two conferences, this year's conference, with the themed "Telling the Stories of Blood Donors," seeks to educate a wider public about unpaid blood donation and blood safety by highlighting exemplary individuals and touching stories of unpaid blood donors. It also aims to showcase the fresh perspectives, creative initiatives, and remarkable accomplishments in unpaid blood donation across the nation. The conference further serves as a conduit for disseminating positive social vibes, setting new trends for the times, and propelling the high-quality advancement of the unpaid blood donation cause.
Henan Province places profound emphasis on unpaid blood donation work and systematically integrates it into a range of regulations, including the "Henan Province Regulations on Promoting Civilized Behavior", "Henan Province Evaluation System for Civilized Units", "Henan Province Evaluation System for Health City and Health Units", and a province-wide key development plan for health and healthcare sector. The province has also established a comprehensive framework, encompassing mechanisms such as the Henan Province Unpaid Blood Donation Work Joint Meeting and the province-wide blood emergency response coordination system. As a result of this strong social support and engagement, over 1.3 million people participate in unpaid blood donation activities each year, contributing to an annual blood donation volume of more than 500 million milliliters. This ensures a consistent and safe supply of blood for clinical use in the province, and ultimately lead Henan Province being recognized as the only "National Advanced Province for Unpaid Blood Donation" for nine consecutive years.
It's noteworthy that, in conjunction with the speech conference, a highly successful national training program focusing on cultural development for blood collection and supply institutions was also conducted.
