Call for Research Proposals 2027

Fondazione per la Ricerca sulla Trasfusione e sui Trapianti Lugano, Switzerland

Fondazione per la Ricerca sulla Trasfusione e sui Trapianti, invites applications for its 2027 Research Grants in the fields of blood transfusion and transplantation.

The Foundation intends to award a limited number of research grants to outstanding investigators. Each grant will provide funding of CHF 40,000–50,000 for a research project with a duration of one year.

In addition, the Foundation may offer one-year training fellowships to young investigators under 30 years of age holding a degree in medicine or in a scientific discipline. The fellowship will support advanced training at a Swiss hospital or research institution.

Applicants must have their tax residence in Switzerland or in a Member State of the European Union.

Applications must include:

• a completed letter of application;
• all supporting documentation;
• a certificate of tax residence; and
• a research proposal in English (1–2 pages) describing the project's background, objectives, methodology (including a statistical analysis plan), and expected results.

Applications must be submitted by e-mail no later than 30 April 2027.
