The XIV Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on "Current issues of transfusion therapy"

On April 23–24, 2026, Astana, Kazakhstan, hosted the XIV Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on “Current Issues of Transfusion Therapy,” bringing together more than 900 transfusiology specialists and healthcare professionals from Kazakhstan and abroad.

Organized by the Scientific and Production Center of Transfusiology of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, the annual conference provides a platform for sharing expertise, discussing current challenges, and presenting advances in transfusion medicine.

Experts from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, the UAE, the USA, Germany and other countries participated in the event. Key topics included blood transfusion, blood component preparation, laboratory diagnostics, infection safety, blood donation, digitalization, and international cooperation.

The programme featured a plenary session and five thematic sessions covering clinical transfusion, blood component preparation, laboratory diagnostics, blood service development and transfusiology in hematology.

Held in Kazakh, Russian and English, the conference offered both in-person and online participation, with opportunities to present oral reports and publish abstracts in the conference proceedings.
