We’re proud to celebrate Tatiane Vendrame a 2021 I Try It programme participant, and her mentor, Lilian Castilho. Together, they tackled the critical challenge of identifying RhCE variants in routine serological testing. Their collaborative work has now been published in Vox Sanguinis! About the Article In her study, titled "Assessing reagents and techniques for identifying RhCE variants in routine serological testing" Read it here, Tatiane explored the crucial need for detecting RhCE variants to prevent alloimmunization and manage complex transfusion cases. Using various methodologies with monoclonal antisera, she defined reactivity patterns of these variants, shedding light on their variable antigen expression—a key step in advancing transfusion safety.
